“Wouldn’t it be awesome to reboot NIGHT HEAD through anime?” That’s how it started. We pitched a new concept—brothers that can only exist in one dimension at a time—and brought it to the legendary George Iida. Working with him is like watching someone use more than the usual 10% of their brain.

While working remotely, I saw a video on social media of someone singing opera with an otamatone. I thought, “This could be an anime.” We reached out to Maywa Denki—and what came back was nothing like I'd imagined but amazing. Now I finally get the saying: “When you gaze into the Otamatone, the Otamatone gazes back.”
